The top of the jury and other members, sommeliers and experts of starred restaurants and bars in France and Europe, visited our brewery.
As part of the official promotion of Okayama sake in France, Okayama Prefecture invited the jurys and six selected breweries have been visited on a three-day tour.
We had a brewery tour and tasting, with detailed, pointed and specific questions being asked from start to finish, and many frank comments were made.
During the tasting, in particular, they drank the ‘Kiseki no Sake’ series, which had been requested in advance, and were met with poignant but positive and concrete comments about the future.
After the tasting of ‘Sanzen Honjozo’, which was additionally requested, the general comment was that ‘the fact that the basic (specification) Honjozo has such a fine taste shows the seriousness, sincerity and magnanimity of the brewery’s efforts’.
We also export to France and other European countries, and every time touching to the way how drunk and liked in France, which has a outstanding historical food culture and culinary sensibility, we learn something different from the way it is perceived in Japan.
We are grateful for this valuable, heart-warming and inspiring tour opportunity and will continue to strive to brew sake with sincerity and integrity!
