The “Milano Sake Challenge” is Japanese sake competition judged by Italy’s top wine sommeliers, restaurant owners, chefs, and bartenders.
The results were announced in July.
Our standard sake “Sanzen Tokubetsu Junmai Omachi” won the Platinum Award (winning rate of 10%) in the Junmai and Honjozo category.
“Sanzen Junmai Daiginjo Omachi 50”, which has been well going both in Japan and overseas, won the double gold medal (20% award rate) in the Junmai Daiginjo and Daiginjo divisions.
In addition, “Kiseki no Sake Junmai Ginjo Omachi” won a bronze prize in the Junmai Ginjo and Ginjo Sake categories.
Also, all three sake won the “Food Pairing Award”, which competes for compatibility with Italian cuisine that is popular locally.
“Sanzen Tokubetsu Junmai Omachi” with Parma prosciutto, “Sanzen Junmai Daiginjo Omachi 50” with Parmigiano Reggiano, and “Kiseki no Sake Junmai Ginjo Omachi” with seafood pasta is the best, they judged.
We were very pleased to win such a high reputation in Italy, which is a major rice producer in Europe, and to receive high praise for pairing with Italian cuisine, which is popular both locally and in Japan.
We would like to thank all of you for your continued support. Thank you.
