have all been awarded Gold Medals in the Fruity category.
The Japan Women’s SAKE Award is the first sake competition in Japan judged exclusively by women who hold professional qualifications in the beverage industry.
The judging panel includes sommeliers, cabin attendants, proprietresses, chefs, and other women who work closely with sake in their daily professions.
Rather than evaluating by traditional sake classifications, the competition focuses on aroma and flavor, making the results a helpful guide not only for sake enthusiasts but also for beginners and international consumers.
The award-winning sakes are part of our popular lineup, brewed respectively with Yamadanishiki—known as the “king of sake rice”—and Omachi, Okayama’s celebrated local variety.
